CATFISH STOMP & TREE LIGHTING 2020
The 45th Annual Elgin Catfish Stomp Parade and Food Festival, sponsored by the Elgin Police Department Toys Roundup and Caring Hands Foundation, took place on Saturday, December 5, 2020 in the Town of Elgin.
This year the event was a little different due to precautionary measures being taken for COVID, with face coverings and encouraged social distancing.
The parade started at 10:00 am at the corner of Bowen Street/Main Street and proceeded down Main Street to Potter Community Park (corner of Main Street/Green Hill Road).
Delightful tastes from Food Trucks and our famous Catfish Stew and Fried Fish (served under the picnic shelter and optional drive-thru service) were enjoyed by all!!
We look forward to seeing you all at the Catfish Stomp in 2021!!
The Elgin Tree Lighting was fun for all! At the Tree Lighting, it is an annual event to announce our Citizen of the Year.
Our 2020 Citizen of the Year is Pat Bero! Thank you Pat, for all you do for the Town of Elgin!
We look forward to seeing you all at the Tree Lighting in 2021!!
