SERVICES:

GARBAGE COLLECTION:

Visit Elgin Town Hall to set up trash collection service for your residence.  All Town of Elgin residents can receive FREE residential trash collection, courtesy of the Town.  Davis Disposal is the Town’s contractor for all residential trash collection.  Garbage is picked up by Davis Disposal on Friday mornings.  It is requested that you have your trash out on Thursday evenings by 6 p.m.

Davis Disposal will not pick up residential trash if it is not in an approved cart.  Per the town’s contract, the contractor shall only be required to collect garbage from roll carts that can be machine lifted and dumped into the Davis Disposal garbage truck.

You have the option to purchase your own “Toter Container” from Walmart, Lowe’s or Home Deport or you can rent a container from Davis Disposal for $7.00 per month.  It must have the bar in front that is required to allow the machine on the truck to lift and empty accordingly.

If you wish to receive a Recycling bin, contact Davis Disposal.  The cost of the bin will be the resident’s responsibility.

BUSINESS LICENSES:

You may retrieve a business license application HERE.  Please return all required information to the Town Clerk at Town Hall.  For questions, please reach out to the Town Clerk.

WATER BILLS:

Town Hall is a collection site for water bill payments.  If you have questions about your bill or concerns about your water in general, you must reach out to Lugoff-Elgin Water Authority, as we only are able to accept your payments and process to them.

ELECTION POLL SITE

Town Hall is a polling site for National Elections.  For Town elections, polling will be held at Blaney Baptist Church and Stover Middle School.
