DESCRIPTION:It’s time! Catfish Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony preparation is underway! The 50th Annual Catfish Stomp Festival will be held Saturday\, December 6\, 2023. The parade will commence at 10 AM at the corner of Bowen Street/Main Street in Elgin. Parade will start lining up on Bowen Street and Railroad Avenue on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and spot #s will be painted on the side of the street. Parade will start at 10:00 a.m. on Bowen Street/Main Street and travel to Potter Community Park on Green Hill Road. Vendors can start setting up at Potter Community Park at 8:00 a.m. Spots are numbered with flags.Festival will start immediately following the parade at around 11:00 a.m. 10 AM – Corner of Bowen Street/Main Street in Elgin We are now taking application for parade entries! All entrants must supply their own sign for their float/entry.Banners & Signs should be neat and easily recognized (6-8″ lettering is recommended).  Basic simple signs show up best.Santa Claus is the featured guest at the end of the parade!  We ask that NO participant use a Live Santa or life-size representation of Santa.  Children tend to get confused with multiple Santas.All entries must be Christmas and Family oriented.For safety purposes\, please do NOT toss candy from your floats\, cars\, walkers\, etc.You may access a Parade Entry application here.$20.00 single entry fee$50.00 multiple entry fee *Make checks payable to Elgin Police Department Toys Roundup and Caring Hands Foundation *Please return your entry by November 24\, 2025 to:Elgin Town Hall  – PO Box 277 – Elgin\, SC 29045   ATTN: Melissa Emmons   memmons@townofelginsc.com Get involved!
