Archery Champs

In case you haven’t heard, we have some State Archery Champs in our midst. Last week our two schools-Blaney Elementary and Stover Middle-sent students to compete in the South Carolina Archery Competition at the Fair Grounds in Columbia. For the 3rd consecutive year, Blaney Elementary won the state championship in the elementary division and Stover Middle won their 1st championship in the middle school division. This is a major accomplishment for both groups of students and even more impressive is that both of these schools are located in the Town of Elgin.
On Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:00 we will be recognizing both of these teams at our Elgin Town Council meeting at Town Hall. I look forward to congratulating these students and their coaches for such great achievements in their sports field. Congratulations to Blaney and Stover for your championships and I wish you luck as you travel to Kentucky in May to compete in the Nationals.
