What a Week

This has been one of those weeks that I’m thankful to see come to an end and I welcome the weekend with open arms.  I was reminded this week through several situations that life is never a certainity, it is a wonderful gift and one that we should never take for granted.  Take a moment and let your family and loved ones know how much you love and appreciate them because we never know when our maker will be calling us home.

Enjoyed an insightful meeting tonight about our upcoming “Catfish Stomp Festival”.  The organizers have a wonderful event planned and some new events this year along with our normal customary ones.  One that I am looking forward to and would like to encourage others to think about participating in is the “Cookoff” that will take place on Saturday, December 3rd.  This is going to be a great opportunity for those great cooks out there to compete with fried or stewed catfish to see who is the king when it comes to preparing catfish.  If interested, stop by Elgin Town Hall and pick up an information/Entry form and let’s put that great recipe to the test!  I will talk more about this event as the time draws near.  I am just tickled to death about all that is in store for this event and I’m thinking that this has the chance of going down in history as on of the best!

Have a great weekend, spend time with you loved ones-I myself will be enjoying all that North Myrtle Beach has to offer and my family and I will be taking a much needed getaway.

God Bless,

Melissa Emmons
