Holiday Events in Elgin for 2014

The holiday season is upon us and there are several events scheduled in the Town of Elgin.  We will kick off the season with our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 4th at 7:00 at Potter Community Park.  There will be several guest speakers and musical performances by Blaney Elementary School Chorus and Dobys Mill Elementary School Chorus.

On Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 we will have the Elgin Catfish Stomp Parade.  It will start at the intersection of Main/Bowen Street and proceed down Main Street to Potter Community Park, corner of Main Street and Green Hill Road.

Once the parade is complete, the Elgin Catfish Stomp Festival will begin and will include food, vendors and live entertainment.  There will be plenty of Catfish Stew and fried Catfish.

If you have questions concerning any of the events, feel free to contact Elgin Town Hall at 803-438-2362 on Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from the Town of Elgin!
