Elgin Cares Clean-Up Day

The Town of Elgin is excited to invite you to join a group of volunteers on Saturday, April 18th as we demonstrate pride in our community by cleaning up litter that trashes our town.

Volunteers will be cleaning litter in designated areas on and near Main Street. We will meet behind Elgin Town Hall at 8:30 to organize and pass out supplies (vests, gloves and trash bags). The event will end at 1:00.

Other ways to help-(1) you can volunteer a group from your business, church or organization, (2) you can donate water for the volunteers by bringing it by Elgin Town Hall prior to the event, and (3) you can pick up litter around your neighborhood, church, or business to show your support for “Elgin Cares Day”.

The Elgin Police Department will be patrolling the designated areas to help with safety.

We hope that you will choose to join us on “Elgin Cares Day”-when we all come together, we can make a REAL difference!
