Run For Roundup

The Elgin Police Department Toys Roundup and Caring Hands Foundation will be sponsoring a 5K Run/Walk Race on Saturday, April 14th.  The event will begin at 8:00 in front of Blaney Elementary School and will conclude at Leslie M. CSX Railroad has scheduled the attached list of crossings to be closed for repair.  This will necessitate rerouting traffic.  Signage will be in place marking detour routes. Garbage Collection Service in the Elgin Town Limits

Effective 11-01-17, Davis Disposal, Inc., will not pick up residential trash if it is not in an approved cart.  Per the town's contract, the contractor shall only be required to collect garbage from roll carts that can be machine lifted and dumped into the garbage truck.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but due to numerous concerns/issues, it is important that everyone abide by this policy.
