Elgin’s Newest Councilwoman

The Town of Elgin would like to congratulate Candy Silvers on her recent election. She was elected on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 during a Special Election to fill a vacant Council seat. Mrs. Silvers has lived in Elgin for 18 years and had recently been appointed to serve on Planning and Zoning. Town of Elgin-Special Election-Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Please do not forget that if you are a resident of the Town of Elgin, there will be a Special Election on Tuesday, June 18th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to fill a vacant Council Seat. The monthly meeting of the Elgin Town Council was held Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Brad Hanley presiding. All council members were present. Invocation was given by Melissa Emmons and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Hanley. Mayor Hanley recognized a new business license: Sor Sumrit Muay Thai (a martial arts school).
